Honestly? Because it's cheap to run, deliberately. AnswerBoards has no accounts, no servers storing student work, and no database. Everything happens on the student's own device. A tool with no running costs per user doesn't need to charge per user.

AnswerBoards is built by the team behind Revision Genie, a revision platform for students. AnswerBoards is our way of being useful to classrooms every single lesson. If a teacher who loves it goes on to look at what else we make, brilliant.
